Hoy en d\u00eda el levantamiento gr\u00e1fico de precisi\u00f3n, tanto de modelos arquitect\u00f3nicos de grandes dimensiones como de sitios arqueol\u00f3gicos, es posible gracias fundamentalmente a dos factores: por un lado al desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico que han sufrido en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os los medios de adquisici\u00f3n de datos, surgiendo nuevas herramientas con altas capacidades de toma de datos; y por otro lado a la aparici\u00f3n de nuevos procesadores capaces de manejar una gran cantidad de informaci\u00f3n, d\u00e1ndonos resultados gr\u00e1ficos de gran calidad en un corto periodo de tiempo. Las t\u00e9cnicas empleadas pueden ser diversas, adquiriendo fundamentalmente los datos a trav\u00e9s de nubes de puntos tomadas mediante esc\u00e1ner l\u00e1ser 3D, o bien a trav\u00e9s de secuencias fotogr\u00e1ficas, apoyadas en su caso en la toma de puntos de control mediante estaci\u00f3n total. El conocimiento y manejo de las diferentes t\u00e9cnicas de levantamiento digital, les permite adaptar la metodolog\u00eda del levantamiento a las necesidades tanto del modelo a representar, como del proyecto que se pretende llevar acabo, estableciendo flujos de trabajo espec\u00edficos que logran optimizar los resultados.
